I have been away from my family for a while now. I MISS them terribly and I know they miss me too! Kenya has been amazing, my hosts have been incredible and my fashion family remarkable. All these have helped me keep my nostalgia on lock. So, what drove me to leave my 18 month old son and loving husband to come to Kenya for over 2 months?

See, the thing is Baba Kundai, and I are entrepreneurs. You imagine our lives are super hectic and highly stressful, but believe it or not we would not have it any other way. We both grew up with entrepreneurs in our families so the lifestyle is not new. We are both very hardworking and determined individuals which compliments our entrepreneurship journey.

So why choose this lifestyle? We are doing this for our children! We are focused on changing their narrative. By that we mean, Kundai (our only son for now) will grow up seeing and eventually growing to understand how to build and how to follow his passion. HIS dialogue will be different because not only should we as parents share advice with our children but it is equally if not more important to act out what we preach.

Look, we are just starting out on this parenting journey so we are not claiming to be experts! However, as the old adage goes actions speak louder than words!! WE are merely asserting that, that adage is also true in parenting.

So yes, if we want to change the next generation we must start acting now. These are Kundai's formative years according to the psychology of child development. We are definitely making our decisions with great caution and guarding our actions like hawks.

The vision for King K brand
Yes, in case you were thinking it, my trip to Kenya is not about me it’s our investment towards changing our children’s narrative and building that legacy and cultivating that culture of a go getter for generations to come!
